Tatiana wandered around in the kitchen, opening all of the cupboards and drawers to see where things were and what food they had. "Oh Thai food!" She took out a box of Thai noodles and looked on the back, there was a recipe, swoot. " Hoy Aleu-kun! P-chan! Do you guys want some Thai food?!" Tiana cried out to her friends that were still in the living room.

"Hey Tiana!" Stephanie popped into the kitchen from the living room. "Long time, no see." She peeked over her friend's shoulder. "Whatcha making?"

Tiana jumped slightly as she didn't expect Stephanie to poof behind her. She chuckled quietly before answering, "Thai food. Wanna get some veggies out from the crisper for me? And some kind of meat? I don't care what kind." Tiana continued looking at the back of the box of noodles at the directions, then went to get the right pans and other utensils that she needed.

"I didn't know you could cook, Shiori," Stephanie commented before opening the refrigerator door and poking through the various foods. "The meat doesn't matter? How about chicken..?" Sliding her head out of the fridge with an armful of ingredients, she wandered back to the counter. "How much food are you making anyway?"

"Chicken's fine. As to the cooking... I've learned to follow directions," Tiana winked at Stephanie, "I'm not as good as my dad or my sister. They can just whip something up and it's great." She continued to prepare the food, going back to the frig from time to time for sauce and other forgotten ingredients. Soon she had all the ingredients in a large wok (sp?) making a thai stir-fry. Not long after she started cooking when
REEEE REEEE REEEE REEEE!
"Ah, crap. Ari, would you fan the fire detector to make it stop?" Tatiana asked as she turned on the stove fan.

"Erm..." Stephanie's eyes widened. "Wow. Ten minutes in the house and you've already set off the smoke alarm," she joked, grabbing a chair to work with the fire detector on the ceiling. "But then again, it's not that bad. Usually I end up destroying the stove, making the microwave explode, buring the house down, etc."
After cleaning up a bit, the teen looked at Tiana. "So Shiori, is the food burned?"

Tatiana just sighed, "You know an Iwanick is in the kitchen when the fire alarm goes off by just cooking. No the food's fine." The twenty-year-old divies up the thai noodle stir-fry with peanut sauce in portions for the four people who were in the house (there is still some left over). "That detector is like the one at home, very sensitive. Which is a good thing, I suppose. Want some?" Tiana hands Stephanie a plate of Thai food.
((note: this has happened multiple times in my house... mostly with my dad and my sister but a couple of times with me. Someone is cooking and doesn't have the fan on and it makes the detector go off, we just us a towel to fan the detector to make it stop... ^_^U))

"So how's the food you guys?" Tiana asked after both Michelle and Stephanie had a few bites. She had some of the food herself... but as long as something is edible she likes it so she wanted a second opinion.

"It's pretty good," Stephanie said, pulling out a few napkins from the pantry for her friends. "It's spicy! The way Thai food should taste. Definitely not bad for setting off the fire alarm." She gave Tiana a teasing poke.

"Yeah, Dad kinda went on a Thai kick after he went there on a business trip. Has been making a bunch of Thai food ever since," Tatiana replied as she went to the fridge to get herself some juice. "You know we'll be going to the market to get juice a lot right? I have such a soft spot for fruit juice..."

"Juice? Of course." Seeing Tiana pull out a bottle of the drink, Stephanie rummaged through a cabinet to find her a glass. "And since this is a tropical island, there'll bound to be people selling some in the open air markets. It'll be much fresher than the stuff you find at the grocery stores." She smiled. "We'll have to go when everyone else gets here."
